Kayak/Canoe Rentals
Cave Run Bicycle and Outdoor Center has a variety of kayaks/canoes for rent. You can rent either for the entire day or just half a day. Rental fee includes boat, personal flotation device, paddle, and blocks and straps for car top rentals. Click on our Clinics & Trips page for information of river trips.
Tandem Kayak and Canoes -- $30 per half day (4 hours or less) and $40 per full day.
Single kayaks -- $25 per half day (4 hours or less) and $35 per full day.
Fishing Kayaks -- $25 per half day (4 hours or less) and $35 per full day.
Touring Kayaks -- $35 per half day (4 hours or less) and $45 per full day.
Boat can be kept overnight or dropped off after hours for an additional $5 fee.
Group Rentals Discounts
Rent five (5) to ten (10) canoes or kayaks get $2.00 off per boat.
Rent eleven (11) or more boats and get $3.00 off per boat.
Prepayment required for all group discount prices.
We suggest reserving boats in advance for groups to ensure there are boats for everyone to enjoy. Reservations can be made by contacting the shop at (606) 784-1818.
Reservation Procedures
Reservations are a good idea – especially on weekends and holidays -- but not required.
Deposit
To reserve boats and trips, contact the shop at (606) 784-1818. A 50% deposit is required to hold the boats and schedule trip.
Cancellation policy
A full refund will be made if cancellations are received at least one week before your trip. Thereafter a ten-dollar credit will be issued towards your next trip. We are sorry but no refunds can be given within a week of your trip for injury, illness, or personal problems. Please be on time. If you are late and miss your trip no refunds will be given. The best way to cancel is to call (606) 784-1818.
No Rainy Day Refunds
Rain checks will be given only in unsafe storm conditions.
Shuttle
In addition to the recommended river trips listed above, we can provide shuttle for other areas of the lake. Please contact the shop for pricing. The cost will vary depending on where you want to paddle, how many people are in your party, and the distance of your trip. Advance registration and deposit are required. See registration policy above.
